I currently work at the National Magazine Exchange in Clearwater, Florida. Also known as Special Data Processing. While not fully illegal (like slimy used-car dealers, they know all the loop-holes, lingo and ins-and-outs of the law to stay in that gray but legal area).
This "company" hires all sorts of scum that they use to collect monies. Most of these people have no conscience, are greedy and materialistic, and would spit on there mother for a dollar. Also, these people treat customers like s**t. For instance, it is not uncommon to see an employee (it happens all around me, many times a day) answer a call from a customer, put them on hold for 10 minutes, and walk around shootin' the breeze with other employees. All the while, the customer is on hold. Futhermore, I have overheard these bastards say things like "f*** that old b***h, she thinks Im refunding her any money, she's gonna be waitin' a long time," or "stupid a*s customers trying to argue." Bad, very bad.
Walking down the halls of this giant corporate complex, one can hear all the brainless and brainwashed chanting and cheering all sorts of lame a*s slogans. One of the worst ones is "Buyers Are Liars!" I mean, come on man, what the hell kind of compnay treats its customer this way?
Make sure anyone out there watches there back when calling this place. They record everything you say, and even record you (and listen to you) when you are on hold. You are not even on hold at all, they operators just hit there MUTE button. They do this so they can hear someone on the line talking while thinking they are on hold. It gives them an "edge" as the supervisors like to put it.
This Company has an entire department (Huge Department) called Customer Retention. It is the job of these Customer Retention Associates to talk Customers out of Cancelling there "package." They are forced to offer customers "solutions" to there problems. Usually involves a promise of a 40 Dollar Gas Mail in Rebate Certificate. What a piece of s**t compensation piece. They fail to tell the customer that it takes four months to use (the customer has to mail in 1 ten dollar gas receipt per month for four months..what a jip), and is only good at a small amount of gas stations.
Anyway, I could go on and on, but anyone with half a brain would already realize this company is GREEDY, UN-ETHICAL, and SOULESS. I will witness its downfall.
