Sales and Marketing Group, Inc. deals extensively with outsource sales, marketing and advertising projects. Their clientele include companies such as Verizon and AT&T, as well as several energy corporations. In addition, they also deal in brand management and event planning.

SMGI begins their sales process by first contacting the key decision maker. For example, if their client were an apartment complex, they would contact the property manager or leasing agent. From there, they plan an event in which they pre-market, host, and follow up in order to close the sale.

When dealing with a complaint, SMGI provides 24 hour customer service and promises a one week turnaround.

During the course of the onsite interview, Mr. Koontz described an instance when a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received: “A client claimed he did not get all the services that was described when they signed up for cable service. I gave the customer back their money for that time period and he was satisfied with the results.”

When addressing the complaints that were made by former employees about not receiving proper payment for work, Mr. Koontz said that in order to resolve these issues: “[Employees] were paid out commission whether [they] were owed or not.” He went on to say that: “Service is number one and this is communicated to our clients during the first sentence that a sales person speaks.”

In order to reduce complaints against SMGI, Mr. Koontz explains that: “[The company has] taken on the attitude that if someone brings up a claim, it must have some validity to it.” In addition, they are more focused on the relationships they form with their employees, knowing that disgruntled workers are more likely to make complaints upon leaving the company.

When asked what SMGI’s relationship with CXN looked like, Mr. Koontz stated: “On paper none. They are out of business. 6 people from CXN work for SMGI.”

E.L. Griffin is the Director of this company. He is a scam artist. Hired a recruiter to scout appoinment setters for his sales and marketing group. After contracts were exchanged, he made up an excuse of not to pay. He didn't even pay the employees that were hired after their 3 weeks of employment. He has been called, texted, and emailed about paying for services rendered. He either dodges the contacts or pretend to say that "corporate" has a hold on his money. Yet he has time to get his home repaired.  He abuses employees and have them call on businesses to set up credit services for No Credit Check 90 Day Payment Plan. However, he rips everyone off by not paying them! He must be stopped and pay everyone as agreed.  Do not do business with this man if you want to avoid embarassment and not get paid for your efforts!!

Never Personal Always Professional

The recruiter NEVER had a personal relationship with E.L. Griffin of National Sales and Marketing Group. All work was accomplished virtually. Meaning, the recruiter only met E.L. Griffin via email and over the phone as many of their past clients have been.  The recruiter was referred to him by a colleague from Louisiana. The request was to assist with hiring Appointment Setters for The No Credit Check Finance Program. E.L. Griffin NEVER paid the recruiter for the services rendered. Two employees were hired, but Griffin NEVER paid even as simply through PAYPAL as was previously asked. Regardless, the recruiter has had more positive opportunities from new clients that stemmed from this negative experience. Please see contract for services signed by both parties ATTACHED to this rebuttal. So...who is lying here? Why would the recruiter go through posting negative info against someone or business, thus risking their own reputation, nothing to lose but a bad client!

This is a woman that said she would do what ever she can to hurt my name ,we had a personal relationship, but things went bad.


There is not much to say when anyone can place what ever they want without proof of what they claim to be true. all they have to do is get one or more person to place a complaint on a site like this one and if the readers is not knowledgable of how easy it is to place a complaint on this site they will think it is the Gosple Truth. thats all I have to say about this matter and to let let a sleeping giant sleep. I prefer not to stir up a angry bee nest If they went this far.the question is how far will they go to make me to be what they say I am. NOTE: no customers have a complaint and unlike other complaints they used my name because that was their main purpose.All I ask Is don't convict me without proof,My name is envolved.

Mr. Griffins is exactly the way whoever wrote this complaint said he is. I use to work for E.L. Griffin, don't think I'm writing this because I no longer work for him, I Quit. Mr Griffin is as underhanded as they come. Always making promises, but never follow through. What legitimate business man, doesn't have enough money to pay the people he employees!!! I know I wasn't doing charity work!! I have spoken to E.L. Griffin on multiple occasion, & the conversation always ends with a promise to pay, but I have yet to see one cent. The sad part is that I still entertain him when he calls, in hopes that I will get my money. Whoever is reading this stay far, far away from NSMG, E.L Griffin, Eddie Griffin & his real name Eldric Griffin. Please don't get involved with this Con Artist, its just going to leave you Broke!
