My two boys were signed up for the 5/6 yr old flag football team and unfortunately they were grouped with the over-zealous coach who was convinced his son was the next Michael Vick (not kidding). Since this is obviously a highly cut-throat league (5 and 6 yr olds) he had to win, win, win and the only way was to have his son at quarterback and he got to play the entire game meaning the other kids were on the sidelines for most of the game. Our boys were on the field for 4 (FOUR) plays and thats it. When I called NYS to let them know, they suggested I ask the coach what my boys could do better so that they could play more. FIVE AND SIX YEARS OLD I am still shocked. We moved on to I9 Sports and have been thrilled with their progress.

We appreciate you taking the time to inform us of your experience with NYS. All of our coaches are parent volunteers and we do our very best to insure that all coaches are following the mission and guidelines of our organization. We have made some great changes to our program from this past summer and are working at solidifying more (improved coach packets, trainings, etc.) so that we can insure our coaches are making a positive impact in the lives of all the children on our program. We do wish you and your child the very best in whatever organization you choose, but do encourage you to come back to see all the positive changes being made with our programs!
