Nationwide Grants Department federal grant money scam Nationwide

I just received a call today from a unknown call, the person on the other end was a patially english speaking person calling to tell me that my name was picked out of a data base along with 15-20 other people and we all were approved for $5,000.00 federal grants, they told me that i was chosen because of the debt vs income ratio that they show(which i know to be a lie)
then they asked to confirm some personal information, before i let them go any further i asked again what the name of the company was and also if i looked online for their company that i would be able to read legitimate information for their company, he said yes.

i then asked him if he needed my social security #, he said no and i asked if he needed my bank account information, he said yes.
i then asked him if it was necessary he have my bank information, he said the only way to get the grant is if they transfer the funds directly into an account.

i again asked what company he was from, he asked me "who the hell do you think you are asking questions about my company" (that is by the way the exact quote, no kidding)
so i said no thank you and hung up

my point is if anyone calls YOU and needs your account information 99.9% of the time it is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!
