We were led to believe they had gotten us approved for a home affordable modification, we sent all info in package they overnighted us. We sent in the initial payment and then were told we would have to pay 3 months trial modification then citimortgage would be contacting us direct. After making all payments required the only thing we received from citimortgage was a letter asking if we wanted to apply for a modification. We were mortified we had been taken and it could not have been more sickening. We have been through h---- the last 5 years medical illness, loss of pay due to oil spill, loss of job due to illness all at one time and going through a bankrupcy on top of all. They contacted us on a daily basis then after all payments made nothing. We asked for money back over 3700.00 but they did not contact us any longer. We have 2 numbers for them and only got a message for same mailbox when call both numbers. We also have their bank , routing number, account number where we sent the wires for the money. We have since applied with citimortgage for a modification but are now behind with them and holding our breath that they will help us. We also contacted home affordable program and told them of this terrible situation. We do not want this to happen to anyone else they prey on folks like us that are so desperate for help its just not right. Thank you.
