Nationwide Moving Services Do not use nationwide moving services..They screwed me Kaufman Texas

I am still very upset with what happened during the course of my move with Nationwide Moving Services in August. I signed up with them because they were based out of Texas and considering the fact that I got about 30 quotes from other companies and they were the only company actually based out of Texas and their price was right I decided to use their services for the move. If I had known then what I know now I never would have made that mistake. My sales rep explained to me that i would only pay for what I weigh and that they gave me a 500 lb. cushion with the estimate so I would more than likely pay less so that was reassuring. We set my pick up date for the 19th or the 20th and I was to get a call from the driver with at least a days notice as to which day they would actually pick up. I was told up front that since they were based in Texas they would be the ones picking up my furniture and doing the delivery as well which also made me comforatable. 3 days before the move I still did not hear anything from anyone as to which day my pick up would be but it was no big deal but I was starting to get anxious as everything was packed and ready to go and another rentor would be moving into the house and they needed to know when the cleaning crew would come. Next day, still nothing....Next day still nothing.....The 18th and I was anticipating a call from someone to let me know which of the days they would show and nothing......On the 19th I finally called and someone in dispatch named Jimmy said "I will call the driver and find out what's going on and either I will call you or the driver will call A.S.A.P......Never called back so I figured the pick up would be the following morning on the 20th so I waited and waited and no call so I started calling nationwide moving services and could not get a straight answer. I started to panic because the homeowner is calling me every hour to find out when the cleaning company can come and when the new rentor can move in.

Finally at around 4:30 pm I got a call from a guy named Ken who spoke horrible,broken english (and I have nothing against foreign tongue but it is hard to understand this man) and he told me that his driver would be at my home tomorrow between 6 and 8 pm...A day past the pick up schedule, I was relatively cool with the whole idea but my landlord needed to reschedule the cleaning company and new rentor and he was pretty cool about it. The next morning I began calling Ken starting at 9 am to make sure the guys were still on schedule and if there was any delays and he never picked up the phone. Finally he called me at 3 pm and told me that the truck was running behind and would call me when they were closer. I called again at around 6 pm to check on the status and he did not pick up. He called me at 7:30 pm and told me the guys were stuck at another customer and asked if they could pick up tomorrow morning. This was getting ridiculous and I again had to call my landlord who at this point was getting pissed as he arranged his schedule around me and now he was telling me how patient he had been and had to charge me for the extra day that he was losing money. Next morning Ken never called and I rented a f***ing U-haul which ended up costing me almost double their ridiculously low quote and Ken called me that evening at 4 pm and said "my drivers are at your house and nobody is there" yes he was right, I rented a truck,loaded the whole truck with 2 friends and left. I would definately not recommend this company to anyone and go ahead and rent a uhaul in advance or you'll be stuck the day of. I was warned by many of the companies that this would happen and I can tell you that their customer service is so poor that they never called to apologize and just do yourself a favor and go with another company and don't be fooled with thier low quotes and smooth talking salespeople or you will be breaking your back loading a truck last minute like I was.
