Entered into agreement with a deposit and confirmation for pickup date and dedicated moving / carrier company using a semi 53 foot trailer.

No communciation from Nationwide Relocation the first day and on the second day, I had to call and inquire as to the specifics. Only then, did we determine everything that was agreed on was not going to happen.

Finally, I made contact with some moving company ( I have never heard of)and spoke to the owner. This is because NationWide outsourced the job to another carrier. I informed him not to send the bobtail trailer because one truck would not support the move of a 4 bedroom home. He replied that he had another truck in route and not to worry, two trucks could do the job. However, my question, was for him to confirm the pickup date of the second truck? He could not, but, assured me the price would be the same and our assets would not be held hostage.

Later that afternoon ( appx. 5:00pm) a truck arrived ready to start my move. Their assets were un-safe and in poor operating condition, it would be an absolute miracle if the truck could go 500+ miles. Again, after another call with the moving company trying to confirm the pickup of the second truck. At that point, the owner could not guarantee me anything. Therefore, this company was released and not one box was packed or loaded. It is impossible
to operate two trucks cheaper than one truck, without additional fees.

I cancelled the agreement and now disputing the deposit charges with my credit card company and Nationwide Relocation. I expect Nationwide to issue a full credit back to my credit card. Since no portion of the contract was met. Don't be surprised, you will get no response or support from Nationwide Relocation once they have collected your money.

Basically, Nationwide Relocation did not perform or meet the contract obligation. Poor communication, No Quality in account mgmt and a late pickup attempt using a sub-standard moving company with defective equipment. By the way, the moving company did not have the proper documentation required.

(((ROR REDACTED)))

Breach of contract and business dispute - I paid Nationwide Relocation a deposit of $1,553.45 to pack and move my household goods from Springfield, Illinois to Dallas, Texas. The contracted dates were 8/6/2006 and 8/7/2006. No movers showed up on 8/6/2006, I called and called, but I got no answer. No movers showed up on 8/7/2006, I called and was assured that they would be there on 8/7/2006. They did not show. On the morning of 8/8/2006 I left Springfield, Illinois and drove to Dallas, Texas. Nationwide Relocation kept the deposit, no money was charged by the moving company and no money was sent to the movers. I returned to Springfield, Illinois August 24th and hired another mover. I have written and made a complaint to several agencies; still Nationwide will not refund my deposit.
