I hired Nationwide Relocation to move me from No Carolina to NY.  I was given an estimate of $3500 and told them there is no way I want any surprises.  The cost of the move turned out to be $7800!!  I would have sold my furniture on Craig's list had I known.  Nationwide subcontracted another company who would not release my furniture without prepayment.  They had also taken our gym equipment apart at the move but did not put together at all, same with the master bed in our new place.  Anyone moving shoulod contact Bekins.  When I had moved previously I was given an estimate and no hidden charges were added by Bekins.  I had expected the same from Nationwide.  Don't be fooled as I was, go to a mover who is not a broker.
