Natural Perfection Skin Care shop at home tv ripoff soap takes skin off Internet

I agree, sadly if you had this experience and reaction to the product, you need to stop using it (you may be allergic to one of the ingredients) and I understand you should be entitled to a refund from the shopping network or the manufacturer from Reno, Nevada. Try calling 775-333-5942.

My experience was a good one and I still use the product (Seaweed soap) when affordable. It has been since 2000. It was one soap that did not make me itch and I saved the outer layer scrubber for other soap bars.

Currently, living in an overly arid area, I added 'Argan Oil body butter' and it is the icing on the cake for perfection of moist soft skin! The seaweed soap is still the prefered product for gentle cleaning and removing dead skin!

In 2003 I used the *Perfect Greens (Green Food supplement) and loved it too. I am hoping to start using them again and have contacts for them.

As far as the shopping network. Seriously, call them. Their computers keep all records and if they dont help, the manufacturer just might.

We are very sorry this happened to you, we have never received such a complain. Sometimes customers need to return a product for whatever reason, product is not to their satisfaction, changed their mind etc.. When a product is purchased directly from us we accomodate the client, look in our database and give them a Return Authorization Number. We refund the product, when they send it back minus the shipping charges.

This product was not purchased directly from Natural Perfection, but through Shop at Home who no longer exist. Their return policies are very specific, and yes without a receipt you can not return an item. This policy is used as a normal procedure in most shopping networks and retail outlets.

 Would like to mention this complaint is almost 10 years old, there should be a statue of limitation to  the time this complains remain on the internet.

I started using the seaweed soap ten years ago.  Although they did change the soap a bit about six years ago, I have always been satisfied with the product.  I am sorry it sounds like the op had some kind of bad reaction.  For those with dry skin the wrapping on the soap is a great exfoliator (at least for me, though it is quite rough and it does require to be soaked a while before use).

I was looking up the product address to reorder the soap when I saw this comment and felt I had to respond. Of course as I said I only use the soap and I follow up with a different brand moisturizer. I hope the op feels better soon.

I think it is terrible that the person who reported this as a rip-off had a reaction to an ingredient in the soap or scrubbed WAY to hard, but it is the best soap I have ever used. I have extremely sensitive skin and for years had a rash that would not go away accompanied by really dry skin. I was allergic to every soap I have ever found until Natural Perfection. My rash was gone for the first time in years after 1 week and I have not had to use a moisturizer since either. My skin is so soft. I absolutely LOVE this product. I recently logged onto the Shopathome website to re-order the product and it was not on there anymore. I hope that this person is not the reason why. I truely hope that the rest of us do not have to suffer due to one persons bad experience.

I have recently started to use this product. Though at the beginning the loofah was a bit rough on the skin, I had the common sense not to push the bar down on my skin but rather let it glide. As the days went buy, the loofah became more supple and I could apply more pressure and I must admit it felt very good against my skin.

Common sense would dictate that after seeing the first negative signs after using a product, one would cease to use it. My suspicion from the symptoms described by the original report is that the user may actually be allergic to certain types of seaweed. Some people are allergic to peanuts, but that does not mean that my favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a bad food. No reason to take all jars of Skippy peanut Butter of the shelves.

I would have contacted the company directly rather than Shop @ Home. The latter is really not well known for outstanding customer service or for trying to solve customers problems. Had you contacted Natural Perfection directly, I am sure you would have received a satisfactory resolution to your problem.

I'm sorry to hear your bad experience with the seaweed soap. If that happened to me, I would stop using it and return it to get my refund. I would not continue to suffer and then report the incident on the internet.

Not everybody have the same experience as yours. I would like to report that I had a positive experience with this product. After my surgery (fibroids), I experienced very dry, itchy skin on my legs and feet. Applying lotion did not help because the lotion caused me to sweat. I didn't like any lotion on my body because it felt like dirt was sticking to my skin because of the lotion. So, my skin got drier.

I used the seaweed soap thinking that the rough sisal covering could get rid of the dry flakes. Not only did it get rid of the flakes, it got rid of the itchiness and redness. My legs and feet are soft and supple.

I have been using the seaweed soaps now for almost two years. I don't use lotion on my skin at all. I usually order the seaweed soaps from shopathometv.com because that's the only place that sells them. Now I can't find them anymore.
I hope it's not because of one bad publicity. This is the only one negative publicity that I found on the internet. I'm sure there are more satisfied customers than dissatisfied ones.
