Originally agreed with Neighbors Moving & Storage to pick up my belongings in Renton, WA and deliver them to Sacramento, CA. I was told before pick up and on several occasions over the following 3 weeks that my belongings were either already loaded or being loaded on the truck coming my way and delivered on Monday, Tuesday, mid-week, by Friday etc. I based the rental of an apartment on Neighbors word and had to live in an empty place for nearly 4 weeks.
Since I was continually lied to me about delivery I decided to hire my own truck to pick up my belongings. Neighbors gave me the run around about charges and I was told I had to sign a new agreement and pay the full amount or my belongings would not be released. They made me pay $4,500 and only moved my stuff from Renton to Tukwila, less than 8 miles. Neighbors held up releasing my belongings until they got full payment and made my truck and driver sit there waiting. They made him hotel it overnight before they would load him. I told Neighbors Sales rep that I did not agree with the charges but I had no other choice but to sign and pay in full and hope Neighbors was an honest company and would work things out later. Didnt happen even though they agree they overcharged me!
After getting a run around about them issuing a credit, I filed a complaint with FMCSA. Instead of working with me to resolve this, Neighbors Moving & Storage turned the complaint over to Claimsadjustingfirm.org who wont return my email requests. I researched this Claimsadjustingfirm.org and found numerous complaints on the BBB site about customer service, 14 just in the past year were settled. It does not list how many were received. Neighbors Moving & Storage is not willing to settle this issue directly with me and Claimsadjustingfirm.org will not respond to any of my emails.
