Bought Net 10 ppd cell for xmas gift. Received it few day before xmas via Amazon. Activated phone and it was immediately defective, as it dropped nearly all calls before connecting. It also displayed that I was using an Emergency Only number 50% of the time when I personally had manually dialed my home number. Called Net 10 Customer Service number provided with the phone. What a joke! After 5 calls and two emails to them, nothing had been resolved.
Spent 4 hours on the phone (half of that on hold) and had the same stupid tests performed by Net 10 over and over, without any results. These are the most mindless people I have ever dealt with. The obvious plan of theirs is to stall the customer (or not answer the hold line) until the customer give up. They never offer to replace the phone or the SIM card.
I have offered to ship them the phone for their inspection, but have yet to get an address to ship it to. Looks like I've been taken by these people. Beware of Net 10.
