Just adding grist to the mill on these clowns.
In August I ordered a Sony DVD/VCR combo for my dad for Christmas from NDS. I have used them before for my Overstock auctions, but only for a few items. To be fair, on those items there were no issues reported to me by my customers.
However, on my PERSONAL order, they dropped the ball, big time. The item ordered was not marked at "open box" or anything like that. It did not indicate that it was refurbished or pre-owned. Since this was a Christmas gift, I did not bother to open the box when I received it in August, instead preferring to leave it for my dad to open in December (BIG MISTAKE!).
Well, they sent the correct item; unfortunately, they sent a Magnavox remote with it! The remote is not compatible with the Sony unit, and the Sony representative said there is no way possible that any item of theirs ever shipped with a Magnavox remote. Therefore, this item had to be shipped "open box" and a different remote included.
Having contacted NDS by email, they indicated I had waited too long to do a refund and would not replace the remote (even after I gave them the correct replacement item ID that I got directly from Sony).
Ordinarilly I wouldn't say anything about an item so small as a remote, but their complete lack of professionalism and courtesy in dealing with my request for information on this issue is just beyond the pale.
I will not be using NDS for any further personal purchases, and especially not for my business activities.
