Beware, Netflix will re-bill an expired credit card for YEARS after it is expired. In their payment processing they do not enter an expiration date (or even security code) so they can re-bill an expired card for years after it is no longer "valid".

When confronted about this they stated they do it because they don't want to interrupt services. An unethical, company will resort to tactics such as this and default to saying it's "for your convenience". Be ethical Netflix, ask for updated information.

When approached with concern from someone who has NOT received services since the method of payment had expired and card number had been terminated, do more than say, "We're sorry, there's nothing we can do".

Unethical, and should be illegal. Card not present transactions and re-occurring charges should always have to enter all credit card information. Period.

Auto Billing

AUTHOR: hsalamanca - (United States of America)

When my credit card expired 2 months ago, my Netflix account was one of a few services I forgot to update right away, and they sent me an email when my card expiration was coming near as a reminder, as well as when they were unable to bill it due to my procrastination. My guess is your bank allowed recurring, monthly charges on an expired card as a courtesy to you as their customer.

Question:

AUTHOR: Ashley - (U.S.A.)

Why were you trying to ripoff netflix with an expired credit card? You entered in to an agreement to pay X dollars per month. If you wished to cancel, why didn't you cancel services? Its seems shady to try and cancel a service by just letting the credit card expire.
