I will never trust Netspend now, and I feel as though I have just been really ripped off bad. I am a fairly new member of Netspend and I didn't have the credit to get a regular checking account. so I decided that I would apply for the All Access pre paid visa by Netspend.
I was so exited to finally receive my card and now when I get paid I deposit most of what I get paid into my card. Well I have just tried to pay for an item that I bought through Pay Pay and I also received money as well through Pay Pal from what I have sold on ebay and a day after I received payment for an item that I sold.
I went online to view my balance and I seen that my card had been block at it said to call customer service. I called customer service and they did not try to explain to me why my card was blocked. They just told me to fax my license and social security card to them and gave me a referance number to use as well to make sure that they receive it.
I then call back and try to get answers, the lady told me that the deposit from a lady named Susan ***** was coming trough and they needed her id and social security number. Susan ***** is my mom and I am issued user on some of her credit cards and pay pal is in her name as well.
The All Access card however is in my name only and she is not issued to use the card but since her name is on Pay Pal Netspend got suspicious. I don't understand it though because I am the one who made the purchase, not my mom.
Anyway so when I called Netspend the first time I was misinformed and I was told that I need to send my id and Social Security card and they mentioned nothing about Susan *****, my mom's. Since I wasn't sure who to believe since two people are telling me different thing I called back to Netspend again to verify what needs to happen.
It is very important that my card be un blocked because I have all the money that I own in that card, which isn't much but it is what I need to live on for the week. After I called Netspend for the third time I was told my mom's id and Social Security would need to be faxed with the referance number.
I faxed all this information and they said that they haven't received it and to give it more time. If they don't receive it then I will have to fax it again and the lady said that it is possible that they may need more information also.
I have been doing research online and seen a lot of other people having the same problems as I as well. One lady said that she faxed a lot of paperwork and they kept saying that they never received it and finally after she faxed it eight or more timed they received it and needed more information from her and then they made excuses saying that the ink was too dark, etc and they never refunded her money either.
I am giving Netspend a chance to make this right with me but right now I feel like I have been robbed. I trusted in them to credit the money that I deposit so that when I need it I can use it but now they have blocked my card for no reason and I have money in there that they wont give me.
They will not cancel my account or give me my money back either! I am waiting to see if they un-block my account without putting me through way too much non since and I will keep everyone posted on the outcome of this situation.
Right now they have my pay check and I don't know what to do, everyone from Netspend keeps telling me different lines and no one is knowledgeable about what is going on with my account.
