This guy took a $26,750 deposit on a $107,000 job. He kept giving excuses why he couldn't start when he was supposed to. When we finally gave him an ultimatum he took off with the money. This is when we found out that he had bounced checks on his subcontractors and taken deposits from others and not done the work. We also found out that his company is no longer licensed in Mass to perform any contractor work and hasn't been since his partner resigned a week after he took our money. Since it is an LLC we can't go after him personally. Although what he did was criminal in our minds the police don't want to bother saying it is a civil matter.
Stay away from this guy he if a thief.

I just noticed on Craigs list in Tampa Fl, Dan & Brian LLC. Could this be the same one your looking for? Go to Craigs list Florida, then click Tampa Bay area, the look under All Tampa Bay,Jobs, then type in apartment, and then click all jobs. The ad shows up on Jan. 23.2010. (Help a painting company Grow). The ad sounds great right now because I'm so broke due to the lay offs here in Florida, but I'll be darn, now is not the time for these theifs to be praying on people like us that want to try and help someone else out. I almost gave him alot of info but, Im glad I looked the name up first. It may not be them but you never know. I tried calling the number at the bottom of the ad but the mail box is full. Good Luck......
