Its incredible!!. This so called "scouting agency" takes advantage of new parents that they find at malls. My husband and I went shopping to Roosvelt Field Mall with our 3 month old baby when we were approached by a "talent Scout". She said our baby was soooo beautiful that she was inviting us for an interview. When we got there, the "director" gave us the sweet talk and we ended up signing a contract for a photoshoot ($600!!!!). My baby was smiling so much that we decided to take the pictures that day...wrong!!!!!,
after I got home and actually sat down to read the d**m contract it turns out that we needed composite cards (we were told $4.50 ea) and a minimum of a 100!!! (that's $450 in the fine print). We were going to get a set of the pictures but in slide form which no store would develop without a copyright (additional $45), and extra costs for promotions.....turns out that you are better putting all that money in an account for your child instead of wasting it on a very cheap photoshoot. ....
PLEASE, if you still decide to go there remember to read the contract AND any paperwork BEFORE signing, NEVER agree to take the photoshoot that same day (you can cancel and get your money back within 3 days if the photoshoot hasn't taken place), DON'T let any "director" fool you on how gourgeous your baby is (all babies are 99% cute). The enviroment there is very intimidating and stressic so keep your guard up. It is sad how many new parents I saw there paying lots of money to this people. I ended up paying $600 for a very bad pictures and won't pay a cent more!. My advice...put that money in the bank, get a very nice family photo package from another place, and if you still want to model attend castings by yourself.
