We went to their office in Hicksville on 1/22/11, after their staff scouted my children at the mall saying that my children are perfect to be models. After numerous calls, they finally convinced us and we visited them. We waited too long, so much people they fooled, including me and my family. We told them, we would come back another day, coz its too much time we wasted. Then THEY THREAT US THAT IF WE LEAVE, MY CHILDREN WON'T BE ACCEPTED ANYMORE. So, we waited for couple of hours, and we're introduced to Joel Tavares, the Development Director. We we're told were given a discount and we're charged only for $750 for 2 photo shots, but don't tell others. I paid $1,500 for my 2 chilren ($750 each) through my Discover card and we signed a contract we were told we're coming back on 1/29 at 10am for the phothoshot and bring some outfit for different poses. We were ready to leave but the owner, James Muniz, told us that my chilren need to get pictures taken to have "some practice and familiarize them in the front of the camera," but the actual one will be on 1/29/11. I said we have to leave, but he insist. Finally, they took pictures and we came home. My daughter googled them, and found out all the scam and rip-off reports about them. My children lost their interest and felt bad, they knew nothing will really happened. I called New Faces on the 24th, and mailed them a cancellation request on the same day, post-office marked with return receipt. They received it on 1/26/11. I called Franchesca, so many times and spoke to her. James Muniz called me on 2/4/11, and told me to comeback. I said no, my chilren don't believe in your credibility anymore. We have heated argument and he hung up on me. He does not want to return my money. I asked help from my credit card Discover but nothing happened. This is the Catch and the Bait! When u get in, you're trapped. They don't let you leave and threat you that your black listed once you leave. And since you love your chilren so much.. You would stay and wait. Another BAIT, once you paid, they forced you to take pictures of your children (James Muniz lied to me and to my whole family), now he was saying (he and Franchesca, that) services has been rendered, so no refund. THAT CANCELLATION POLICY IS TOTALLY FRAUDULENT. THEY ARE FOOLING A LOT OF PEOPLE. This company should be shut down! I Believe in karma, I believe in the Power of God to punish this evil people. "For what shall profit a man gaining the whole world. but loses his own soul!"
