New Horizon Recovery center and also there sober living house is a total rip off! The do not offer half the things they have listed on the website. You basically go to AA meetings a few times a week and are bored to death staying around the house the rest of the day. There house manager Nate is totally has no clue of what he is doing and has no communication skills at all. They have only been open a short time and they are all about the money! I saw most of the people in there using drugs in the house and they owners did not seem to care as long as they got paid. This place is a joke! Over priced and not worth it!

As a former employee/counselor, I can validate everything this previous client wrote. The owner, Tina, does not care about the clients welfare and is only in this business for the money. In my experience most people in this business have tremendous compassion and desire to help people find recovery from a drug and/or alcohol lifestyle. Clients were allowed to use drugs and alcohol. This is unheard of in a treatment facility. Allowing this behavior was unethical and harmful to the other clients who were there in treatment wanting sobriety.

Be careful if you are considering working here. Tina has major issues...and she will end up not paying you. She has had many cases brought forth against her with the CA labor board and lost most if not all of these cases. Also, pretty sketchy as she pays cash in an unmarked envelope, does not have you fill out W2's or 99's. Very shady. So be warned. Very unethical business practices and at worse harmful unethical patient/client care!
