Filmmakers and producers beware. New World Distro is a big phony. They wanted me to pay them to distribute my film and they turned out to be a fraud! Their website for New World Distro (don't they know that was the name of Roger Cormans company) recently popped up Cary Floyd's company and guys (including his son who he should be ashamed of having participate with him in his scam) may as well be selling used cars, since at least that's legal! I am an independent filmmaker who was stupid enough to believe the sales pitch from their slick "aquisitions vp" who recently stole five thousand dollars from me. I have spoken to other filmmakers who have had the same experience. When you dig deep behind this fancy website they created you find that it's all a big scam. They are guaranteeing distribution so long as they get your hard earned cash from you and then they deliver nothing. I called a few industry executives who have never heard of them. They have created phony press and show photos of a team of people, none of whom are at work anywhere together. If you go to their office you will find there isn't one and the number on the website is actually a cell phone. It's amazing how people can make themselves look really good with a website with nothing to substaniate it. In fact even much of their website has been lifted from other websites I have visited over the years. They are clearly imposters in the entertainment world who are paracites on the backs of hard working creative people who produce films. Stay away!

Accurate information concerning New World Distribution and Cary Floyd

New World Distribution is a new distribution company. As an employee and partner of New World Distribution, I would like to address the erroneous statements made in this report.
1) The legal address of New World Distribution is one of the addresses listed on the NWD website and to which I believe the writer is referring. The phone number listed on the site does in fact go to a cell number. (We don't want to miss any calls)
2) Cary Floyd's children are all minors. The only family member working with NWD is Cary Floyd's brother Chad Floyd.
3) Roger Corman's company New World Pictures, has nothing to do with New World Distribution.
4) New World Distribution has distributed and is distributing every film signed to NWD, in accordance with each filmmakers personalized distribution contract. If the producer who wrote this report would like to call me directly to discuss his complaint, I would be happy to help resolve any issues, if indeed his film is signed to NWD.
5) With respect to not being "known in the industry", our board of Directors includes two stalwarts in the industry. One of which, who's achievements include being the ex Co-Chairman and CEO, MGM/UA, the producer of hit films such as Red Dawn and Octopussy and another was a director of the hit tv series Alfred Hitchcock Presents and producer of The Exorcists III amongst many other accolades.
6) Each person listed/shown on the NWD website is either a Board Member or active employee of NWD.
7) The New World Distribution website was created by myself and the NWD team in Oxford England, and I can assure you that it is 100% original. We are most interested to discover which specific part or parts of the website was "stolen" according to the complainant.
We welcome any open discussion regarding my rebuttal to the above allegations reported here.
