Because the current Attorney General of the State of New York is only interested in prosecuting companies, corporations, and high-profile individuals who will generate the most publicity, and thus get him into the news, I say that Mr. Spitzer is perpetrating a ripoff against the taxpayers of the State of New York.
The Attorney Gerneral has no interest in helping "the little people" in their neverending battle against small-time "nickle and dime" scammers such as the Canadian Cross-Border scammers who set up shop at Upstate New York post office boxes and mail drops in order to ripoff, not only New Yorkers, but Americans from the other 49 states... No!!! Eliot Spitzer is too important to be concerned about trivial matters such as that!!!
Turn a camera on, and before you can say "corporate malfeasance", Eliot Spitzer will show up to give a press conference announcing a new round of headline grabbing indictments against evil corporations and their CEOs!!!
Let the taxpayers of the State of New York be damned... Spitzer wants to run for Governor or maybe the U.S. Senate if Hillary decides to run for President in 2008!!!
