newegg.com with a add for several computer related items, one of the items
looked interesting to me it was a ASUS VS Series VS247H-P Black 23.6" 2ms LED Back light Wide Screen LED Monitor. The deal was as follows - $209.99 regular price, after promo code EMCXTWL23 $149.99
and with the MIR (Mfr. Rebate) of $20 it would be $129.99, I thought not a bad deal for this type of monitor. When I tried to checkout the total deal was going to be not $149.99 but $179.99. and with the MIR of $20 the total was going to be $159.99 not $129.99, this a difference of $30 dollars.
I think this is bait and switch, bait with the add (incorrect total dollars which look attractive to the prospective buyer) and then the total is different at checkout, which is mathematically correct. It can be explained as a error, a error was made when sending the e-mail, but I have seen this occur from this company before, so I believe this is ongoing practice from this company.
