Nexon America Inc, NXgames, Wizet all wrapped up into one big fraud. They are located in California, why does it surprise me the corruption that comes from that side of the country?
For the few posts listed here is by no indication the true account of the issues. The practices by this company is far ranging and most are not bringing it to light. Extremely disturbing , and hope that more will show the trueness of this theft ring.
On 12/13/2007 I made a complaint to nexon about why they failed to disclose the ineligibility of some accounts to purchase the "Character Transfer". Since the game is independent of the website I felt that in the items desription they should have disclosed the rules and not mislead one to believe it was available for purchase, thus leading to one depositing money for that purpose.
They misrepresent the reason why you have to enter your birthdate information for the purchase of the "Character Transfer" Nexon claims that it is for "privacy sake" in reality it is to block the purchase. Everyone who has had their account blocked for any reason atleast once is prohibited from purchasing "Character Transfer".
On 12/13/2007 the same day I filed the complaint with them they deleted that ticket without any explaination.
Since I made the money transfer through Paypal I filed a complaint with Paypal on 12/14/2007. Nexon failed to reply and on 12/19/2007 I escalated my complaint for paypal to make a ruling on this, I wanted a refund or the option to purchase "Character Transfer".
Paypal gives 10 days for Nexon to respond to the complaint. Instead of nexon responding they retaliated by giving me a permanent bann on 12/20/2007 and claimed that I committed "Charge Fraud"! Knowing this is Nexons' questionable practices I warned paypal this would probably happen. This is why I would let Paypal handle this situation. To make a ruling which nexon had until 12/29/2007 to respond before paypal would rule.
My account blocked for "charge Fraud". My paypal account is registered in my name with funds supported from my bank account. My MS account being registered as well with my name. Nexon notification of who purchases. My funds in my account with my name does not classify as "Charge Fraud". I did not initiate a charge back or reported any fraudulent charges as associated with "Fraud". I made a complaint and Nexon wanted to avoid it and they retaliated by banning my account.
As of this date my account contains the money and have not touched it while this was in the complaint process. They permanently banned my account and stole my money.

Nexon America has made it extremely clear on their website notice's and forums that any accounts that has been temperarily blocked in the past are unable to make the character transfer. If the consumer purchases the character transfer item from cash shop, it is not nexons fault for not transfering the character if the account has been blocked once in the past. It is the consumers negligance of not reading the rules and implications for that item and should remain the consumers responsibily to remain updated on items they plan to purchase. They therefore have no obligation to provide any refund for the lost cash as for one, the Terms of service already states they do not provide refunds, tho in some cases if they find the issue was indeed caused by them, they will provide a refund of maplepoints or extention onto the expiration of certain items.

Also, the issue is not only to do with a previous blocked account. When transfering worlds, you must also make sure youre no longer in a guild, you must delete your buddylist, and you can only carry up to 1m in mesos. You also must annull your marriage. If you fail to meet these requirements, your character will still fail the transferring process and of course a refund still will not be provided as it is the players responsibility to do those things before the scheduled server check after the request for server change. If they close your ticket randomly, it usually means you filed it wrong. Some sections become full or under maintanance and a ticket submitted will automatically close or be closed without a response within a little time. All you need to do is copy what you wrote, and resubmit a new one to a new section until the ticket stays open. Also, if you file more than one open ticket, both tickets will be closed.

The fact that the consumer filed a complaint with paypal is where the consumer made a mistake. Paypal will refund the lost cash, and nexon will view it as fraud seeing as you purhased that cash item yet also kept the money. They will block your account until further investigation.

Basically, i have ruled this case a case of user negligance rather than a mistake by Nexon America. The issue was caused not by nexon but by the consumer who not only didnt follow up on updates and information regarding items purchased, but also committed fraud by getting a refund after already using the nx purchased.
The case ended with the user being blocked for good do to his own negligence. this is not a ripoff but a great example of how incompetant consumers are as to file their own negligance as a ripoff. This is also a growing problem. People reading this ripoff reports and basing their judgements on Nexon by them should not do so due to how unreliable most of them seem to be.

I have been a customer of Nexon America for 4 years and have yet to find a single issue against them. The customer service is extremely busy, but tickets have taken from half an hour to only a week to be answered, and the answers have helped me alot through the years.
Please dont judge Nexon by the biased reports filed on this website.

I've Had Similar Problems With Nexon !!!!

Like you, I have had my problem tickets automatically deleted. They do it after 24 hours. I have screenshot proof of this. Deleted with no person looking at it or reading it.

My problem is that my account was hacked and all my stuff stolen, including NX Cash.

I have no place, company, person, phone number or anything where I can lodge a complaint or try to get help!!! This company is a ghost! As to the person who commented that the users complaint was deleted because the answer was provided for in the FAQ's. Thats fine, but if the company is doing that, they should at least put a comment in the ticket that this is what happened. Instead, they are just deleted! No comments or anything!

I will be posting my tale of woe shortly once I get all the data. Its pretty bad! Nexon is hugely profitable, and not providing users any form of help or recourse is really awful.

Game is independent of website?

Erm...Nexon clearly stated on their website (I don't understand what you mean when you say the game is independent of the website--it's not) that:

7. You will not be allowed to transfer if your account records show any history of past abuse by you while playing the Game.

This is because it would be easy for hackers to just change their world after this item came out.

Also, the reason you have to enter your birthdate is for security measures. If a hacker hacked into your account, they wouldn't necessarily know your birthdate, so they can't do destructive things like delete your character (requires birthdate), access your personal information or request a pin reset, and use certain kinds of NX items, like gifting and character transfers/name changes.

Nexon deleted your ticket because they already mentioned in the rules about Character Transfer the answer to your problem. Although the ticket service isn't totally reliable, if you had a problem that was not addressed by the FAQ, ToS, or anywhere else, they would respond to you.

It says clearly on Nexon's website and on the giftcards that you can't get a refund for your Nexon Cash purchases no matter what.

You can find the rules about Character Transfer by...

1. Going to maplestory.nexon.net
2. Selecting News and then "Events."
3. Clicking on "The Character Transfer Service is here!"

Nexon and it's group of thugs also hides themselves very well. As of this date all relevant searches with the BBB are a dead end. Upon my complaint with the BBB they returned a droped complaint notification since the address and info I provided matched a different business.
What gives?
NXgames as of date has a address of 1000 station drive suite 222, Dupont , WA 98327. This concludes with no listing in the BBB database. A dead end.
Listed in the BBB database for companies is NXgames 8225 44th Ave SW,Seattle, WA 98136. The BBB reports this company is out of business and its type of business is Fax equipment & systems. No additional information is located.
Nexon America Inc. customer service # is 822-544-2048. This number is no longer in service.
All searches conducted to find a true physical address of this company is impossible. The most that one can find is references to domain registrations and Media contacts with only phone numbers.
No addresses. Any relevant information that is listed is for overseas.
What is the best way to deal with this? Possibly filing a complaint to Washington?
I have never been a big fan of the BBB.
