After Thankgiving I thought it was time to get some christmas shopping in. I wanted a tablet so I spent a couple days researching various tablets and decided on a Google Nexus 7 or 9 if I could find a decent deal. After a bit of shopping around I found NoMoreRack offering a Google Tablet which as advertised was a Nexus 9. No direct model name was stated but it was sure as heck implied pretty hard. It was Advertised with some specs matching the Nexus 9 and was referred to as Google Android 9 with Multi-touch. They claimed to have it on limited quantity special for 98 dollars when the typical retail price is nearly 400 dollars. I figured it was a steep deal but since it was getting close to tax season they are trying to empty their warehouses to cut back on inventory taxes. I bought two expecting to sell one in a couple months when the sales are off and priced start climbing again. I also ordered a pair of Australian Style Ugg boots which were advertised as being 140 dollars but on sale for 22.

What I end up getting was a 9 inch chinese tablet with multi-touch and none of the other specifications implied or promised. It end up being a MID tablet not any of the higher end companies that work directly with google for the Nexus lines. Upon checking amazon the item I paid for at the time was actually between 100 and 110 for that week that I received the item. Which I received weeks late by the way.

I placed my order on November 28th and by December 10th I was still waiting, but I got an email from NMR stating that if I did not get my items by the 15th I would receive a full refund plus additional compensation for my troubles. The email also went on to state if the items arrived after the 15th I could keep them anyway in addition to the refund and compensation. Well I received 1 tablet on the 18th but the other was still missing as were the boots. I end up going around and around with them for almost 2 weeks before I got tired of their efforts to cheat me. I went and opened a dispute with Paypal since I was smart enough to use my paypal card.

I continued to try and talk with them even while the dispute was open. I informed them during my communication that the dispute was open and if a resolution was formed before the dispute reached it maturation I would gladly close it. I end up receiving threats for my trouble. Threats such as charging extra for causing trouble or canceling the order and keeping my money for trying to scam them and so on. I responded to this threat by taking a screenshot and attaching it to the paypal dispute along with the tracking information NMR provided.( http://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/track?track=yes&trackNums=1Z1A10610340593920 )
Which shows a 4 pound package. THe tablet by itself is 2 pounds, plus all the cords, plus the cheap protective cover they provided, plus the nice wooden box they sent it all in plus the cardboard box they mailed it in. The package they sent was over 4 pounds just for the 1 tablet so there is no way they could have legally put 2 tablets in the box.

So after going around and around with them one of the individuals I spoke with tried to give me in store credit for the items I failed to receive. I refused this because they promised me a full refund PLUS compensation.  As of January 16th, a full month past the deadline THEY set for themselves I still was missing 1 tablet and missing the boots. On the 16th paypal closed the dispute in my favor and gave me the PARTIAL refund I requested. Even though the tablet was not the one they promised my foolish nice guy mentality accepted it since I still got a small discount vs buying the same one on Amazon.  So I got a refund for the missing tablet and the boots.

Now the nail in the coffin that makes me write this review is that yesterday, Feburary 5th, I received some boots in the mail from them. They are not the right size, not the right color, not the right style, not the right brand, and not even close to the right quality or value. The boots I ordered are;

The boots I got are so cheap I cannot even find them on the internet to get a picture of. The barcode number I was provided with is 834577020204 which seems to not exist. The boots I received are not even of a quality suitable for winter use. The bottom is made of cheap foam like you would expect from a throw-a-way pair of beach sandles and the sides of the "boot" is not much more water resistant than an Easter basket. I am able to slide a toothpick into the seams and reach inside the boot to pull it out without  breaking or damaging the fragile tip of the toothpick. No traction on snow or ice, and no protection against the cold.

I am a first and last time customer at No More Rack.
