I was also involved with Noble House after receiving an email and a professional looking letter that came to my house. I recently had a poem published by Poetry.com and shortly after that I started receiving the messages from Noble House. I purchased the "Songs of Honour" book for $77.05 and gave my credit card number via the internet. All this took place on February 24, 2006.

I printed a confirmation page stating my poem had been submitted and thanking me for the order. It also included an invoice number. The web address at the bottom of the confirmation page was: noblehousepublishers.co.uk/songs/songsAck.asp When I tried to view this site, the page could not be displayed.

I was informed the release would in the summer of 2006 and that I would receive a copy of my poem in several weeks for proofing purposes. As you might have guessed by now, I never received anything for proofing and have not received the copy of the book I purchased either.

I am among the many that fell into this and feel that I have been ripped off by this company as well. I would like to believe there is still fair and honest people in this world, but this leads you to believe that is not always the case. I sincerely hope that this company makes good on their part and issues everyone who was taken in by them a refund or a copy of the book.

Thank you for listening!!

Songs of Honour Published

AUTHOR: Jim Myhre - (U.S.A.)

I, too, submitted a poem for the "Songs of Honour" book that was to be released in the Spring of 2006 by Noble House, New York, and also paid for a copy of the book.

I am happy to say that although it was a couple months late, by August 2006 I did receive a copy of the book. In fact, this was the third book from Noble House in which I have had one of my poems published in the past five years.

However, that said, I also submitted yet another poem to them last September with an expected publishing date of Spring 2009 for the book "Favourite Memories". As of yet I have not received a copy of the book so I sent a letter to the Empire State Building address requesting its status. (The previous books have the Empire State Building address as the publisher's address with Nigel Hillary listed as Publisher, Poetry Division). The letter was just returned to me as "Refused - Unable to Forward". I am attempting to look up the address of Noble House in London to forward the letter to them.

As for your poem, Shiryl, I cannot find any poem in "Songs of Honour" written by a Shiryl. The closest one would be the poem, "Mercury, Oh Caduceus" by a Shirley Burger.

Perhaps their problem is a terrible tracking system for those who have prepaid for copies of the book. I will repost if I receive a reply from London. Good luck!

Nobel House Publications

AUTHOR: Shiryl - (U.S.A.)

I would like to retract my former statement about being ripped off by Noble House for a poetry publication. I paid them in February 2006 for the book. Months later I sent an email stating that I would like a full refund, or a copy of the publication that I paid for. I let them know that legal litigation would begin if they did not take the matter seriously. I received my book in the mail on October 28, 2006. They did honor my threat, but never sent anything prior to that for proofing purposes. This is a lesson well learned. Do some research before you delve into any matters such as this. Also, make sure you have an address and a telephone number where you can contact someone.

Still skeptical

AUTHOR: Elaine - (U.S.A.)

I submited a poem at the end of 2004 and paid for a poem book. Months came and I knew I was scammed. But last month (7/06) the book was there. I submitted another poem 2 wks ago, now they want me to send them $150 for the basic member ship and to ship my awards, b/c I don't want to go to that convention. I am still skeptical over the whole matter.
