Nordictrack - Icon Health And Fitness ripoff extended warranty scam Logan, Utah

I bought the Nordictrack cx998 from Sears and was talked into the service warranty. Nordic track contracts with a third party company (International fitness repair) to do their warranty work. We have been trying to get someone to come for almost 2 months. Nordictrack gave us International fitness repair's number and we called to set up an appointment. We were told to call back when the part we needed arrived. We called for 2 weeks and did not receive a return call. When we called Nordictrack back we were told the company (IFR) was sold and was going through restructering and they would have someone call us. IFR did call and set up an appointment. The day before the appointment someone called my wife at work and told her they were in town that day and needed to do it then. We declined as this would not work into our schedule. The next day when the appointment time came IFR did not show up. My wife called their number and their maintanance guy was drunk sitting in a bar. He said it wasn't worth it to him to drive to our location for what they Nordictrack would pay and that he would not fix it.

When we emailed Nordictrack to complain they contacted IFR. IFR tried to shift the blame on us ane told Nordictrack that we were inflexible and we wouldn't make an appointment during business hours. This is simply not true.

Bottom line is IFR does not want to fix our machine because they have to drive to far and won't make any money. This has made our Nordictrack and extended warranty worthless. Nordictrack has done nothing to help and we have been without a working machine for 2 months. It is only 8 months old. Nordictrack's extended service is a joke. Their subcontractors are rude. This is one of the worst purchases I have ever made.
