09/27/12 Received call from Karen Hobbs of VMS (Vendor Monitoring Services, 1-866-782-4867), stating that I have been violated by CardMember Solutions. She explained that VMS is a division of VISA, MasterCard, Discover and their job is to monitor processing centers. They receive quarterly reports from these centers and, for some reason, my name showed up as a red flag on one of these reports. Upon their investigation, they discovered that I had been violated. With my approval, they would fine CardMember Solutions. This means that they would probably discontinue my service. For that reason, Karen offered me the Small Business Bundler program. This means that I would have the same rate as Wal-Mart and other large companies because I was not going through a middleman. Karen stated that I would not be subject to my current processors penalties for leaving early because they would send a cease and desist order. Also, she said I would be eligible for a $385.60 refund due to their violations. This number represented 6 months worth of over charges.
Several calls ensued as I was very, very suspicious and skeptical of credit card processors. Karen convinced me that she was legitimate and that my monthly bill should not be more than $60 per month..
I had had so much trouble with Card Payment Solutions and their deceitful ways, that I believed VMS was truly trying to weed out the problems with processors.
10/1/12 Received email from Tracy White, VMS, with the attachment titled Statement Analysis Report.
10/2/12 I signed the Statement Analysis Report because that allowed VMS to get me out of the contract and to get my refund and to allow them to fine CardMember Solutions. I only signed the Statement Analysis Report to begin the cease and desist order.
