I brought my 2011 Audi in for repairs to the wheel well.  Work was done in 2 days and i was told to come pick the car up.  Great, i was expecting to be without my car for 5 days.  We drove the car home and left it overnight.  I live 1 mile from the shop.  We went to use the car the next day and it wouldnt start.  Matt from northside came the next day and jumped it.  He brought it back to the shop to put it on the computer.  He had the car all day and called to say it started fine and no codes came up.  We again took the car home.  We tried to start it the next day again to no avail.  Matt again came and jumped it and said it must be the battery.  We asked if he was going to cover the cost and he said no, it must be a coincidence that the battery died the day after car was in the shop?  Really?  A 3 yr old car with no mechanical problems that goes to Audi dealer every 5000 miles and a dead battery?  COINCIDENCE?  I dont think so!

Batteries can and do go bad at ANY time...

AUTHOR: Ken - ()

POSTED: Sunday, November 03, 2013

I got a haircut (took longer than I thought) the car wouldn't start when I left.  The less than one year old battery was dead.

It had a dead cell.  I never thought to check with the salon owner to see if they would cover the cost of replacement...go figure.

Actually, it was replaced free under warranty, but you see my point, right?  The car has under 20,000 miles on it.

My car is also serviced regularly at the local Cadillac dealers and had recently had the crank position sensors replaced...another chance missed to get the dealer to pay for my battery.
