Norvergence A Rip OFF Telecommunications Scam Illinois Nationwide

Norvergence presented us with a proposal for a T-1 line, four outbound long distance lines, internet service, and four new cell phones with unlimited monthly service for 66.00. The savings was 40% of our current service. After extensive credit checking and a complicated contract, we were signed up. I did careful due diligence with many other customers. They sent us a Matrix Gateway Box which was connected on June 22nd. Shortly thereafter, the company declared Chapter VII.The box was installed but never engaged. We never received the cell phones. The out bound long distance lines worked for 3 weeks. The inboud service was never transferred to them.

We now are in a quagmire, because the lease for the Matrix box was assigned to IFC, a leasing company. They allegedly paid 26,000 for this box, and my committment was 8400 a year ($700 a month, for 65 years.) There are 11,000 customers who have been victimized by this scam, all being held liable for their leases.
Many of us, including jmyself, will be incurring substantial legal fees, to resolve theses contractual commitments.
