Ocwen rejected the payment. No one wrote to me or called to informe me. On June 15th, I called Ocwen to let them know I will be making another payment, they then informed me that I couldn't make a payment, instead I needed to pay NINE THOUSAND plus to reinstate my loan.
When I asked why, I was then told that the payment I made in May was rejected because only $1849.00 was paid by Western Union. I could not believe what I was hearing, they rejected $1849.00 for an 80 cents error (not even my error).
I kept calling to try and get someone that I could understand, and that had a heart, and could not get either. I finally spoke with a rep who told me to get a letter from Western Union indicating their error and fax it to Ocwen's research department - I did, instead, I am now told I have to pay ELEVEN THOUSAND plus to reinstate my loan. Oh..they told me I can try for a modification, but no guarantee I will get approved. I submitted the paperwork and they are picking and the proofs/documentation I send in. I don't know what else to do. I need to report this to everyone I can in an effort to stop banks from this type action.

I don't understand, given the things they've been accused of, how they are still allowed to do business, and I would not want to ever take out a loan that could possibly be sold to, or serviced by them.
Yeah, this OP probably made a mistake in choosing that method of payment, and now ACHwen is going to eat their heart out for no better reason I can fathom other than they feel like it, and can.

I am not trying to help her. I merely want her to provide the information so WE the viewers can see all the facts, and decide for ourselves if she is being ripped off.
MY GOAL IN LIFE IS TO EXPOSE THOSE WHO WOULD USE THIS SITE TO TELL PARTIAL AND 1/2 TRUTHES IN ORDER TO JUSTIFY THEMSELVES.
YOU JOSE WALES, ARE A INSIGNIFICIANT SPEC IN THE UNIVERSE, AND YOU ARE JUST A PISS ANT.

Once you get too many payments behind the mortgage will no longer accept just 1 payment.
Is 1848.00 your monthly payment?
It sounds like you may have been 4 payments behind, and the bank has decided to cut their losses, and take the house back, and hold it until the market improves, and then sell the house to the highest bidder.
This kind of information is needed so we can know if a rip off has really occured.
Kindly inform us
