We pay our water bill for our condo. Constant 10.00 late fees because they change the due date monthly. They also post payments late...so late fees are entered.

Perhaps YOU should learn to READ BETTER!!! I mean its posted on the bill!!! Just because YOU make a payment BEFORE the date doesnt mean its going to process in that time frame. If YOU wish to avoid the late fees then pay it earlier. OR go into a PHYSICAL location and pay it THEN. YOU wish to whine about a late fee but THEY do NOT control the mail OR the time frame in which YOU pay it. Assuming that the due date is the same every month is an assumption that will continue to cost YOU. If YOU have assumed there is a GRACE PERIOD then YOU HAVE ASSUMED INCORRECTLY!!! Once you are past the due date by even a hour YOU ARE LATE!!! YOU can say its ALL on them but its YOU who has to do the payment by whatever method YOU are using. Even if you do it on thier website there is STILL going to be a delay. Just because YOU have entered in YOUR payment information doesnt mean it has gone through on the banks end. Until the money hits THIER hands its NOT PAID!!!! The website is a "PROMISE TO PAY". It STILL has to be cleared by the bank and remember that the BANK is ONLY processing DURING BUSINESS HOURS!!! So WHO is REALLY to blame?? YOU for the assumption or THEM for having to deal with the limitations of technology? Are YOU so busy that YOU cannot go into the business and pay it? Im sure the $10 you would be saving by doing this is worth it. Its an extra $120 a YEAR if YOU continously pay the bill late.
