Well it all started when i decided to go apply on this site (one source talent) and it was really easy, fill out some info and upload a picture this was on a saturday, they called me on sunday, the next day! Person that called said that the director would love to see me bla bla, I was like wow so cool you know, who wouldnt be head over heels for getting a call like the next day! And I had an appointment two days later.
So i arrive dressed to impress and i was very surprised when there was about 35 people in the room. Then the "director" named Dominic comes in the room and gives an hour speech saying so much stuff , its just meant to suck you in and it makes you think that you can really make it with them but only later to find out as i will write about is that they only want you money!
So when he was done talking everyone is called in one by one. I sat down with a lady name Lillian, a very charming lady and very to the point kind of person, she drilled me about why i want to be a model and that if money was a problem, i was so excited about the whole thing that i said no i would have no problems with work or money even though i would have to work around both! so after i said i would have no problems she said we want to book a second meeting which would be one hour or so. i said ok.
i go back two days later. this time with some physical photo's that she had requested to see. Like i said she was very to the point and very profesional, she had paper she was writing things down, asking to the point questions, like i mean drilling the questions. so then she took my pictures and "met with the director" Its all a set up from the start, the people who on the first meeting who said money was a problem were NOT invited for a second meeting! And then she came back and said "congradulations we would love to work with you and we think you are very marketable" etc etc bla bla. so
so i signed all the paper work agreeing to the $495.00 to be charged on my credit card plus the $39.95 monthly. i was so happy i just sighned with "a modeling agency" yaa right! I will call my credit card company dispute these charges.
But then couple days later, i had suspicions and started looking into this whole thing and found all the stories of soooo many different people and how one source takes advantage of so many people like myself making the think that they can really make it with thier firm but the bottom line is that they only want your money and just with like all the stories about this company they dont even call you back with any jobs or anything, they only call you back to ask you about the monthly fees.
the founder Anthony, just so readers know, because not too many people know, he's living large, houses in miami and in michigan that i hear about and endless car selection all from peoples hard money misguiding people into thinking they can one day go all they way and be a supermodel with their company.but I do feel that no one should have to pay a lump sum of cash to a company in order for them to represent you. In that case, just about anybody could join and it's not a TRUE modeling agency. A real agency has confidence in their models, enough confidence to know that they will make their agency look well.
