O'Reilly Auto Parts Defective Remanufactured Starters North Charleston,, South Carolina

Bought O'Reilly Lifetime Warranty starter 11 /25 2008, it lasted until 12/06 2012 bought replacement starter and had in installed in truck by mechanic for $65, this # 2 starter failed immediately on install under load, would only click several times before catching . Replaced it with yet another O'Reillys Lifetime Warranty starter, lets call this # 3. and OMG this was actually worse than # 2, it also failed under load immediately.

It clicked , and made terrible exploding grinding sounds. So I ordered new starter from US Auto Parts which arrived 12/28/2012, and was installed on the 29th. End of problems, it was not the wiring, not flywheels, and not any of the BS offered up by O'Reillys to shirk responsibility for selling JUNK starters. O'Rillys refused to refund any of the money payed for both starters , $70 x 2 += $140 . also out the $65 mechanic cost, and 6 hours of my time. Seems a shame they want to argue about such a small about of money as $205.instead of fostering good customer relations, company must have a very rickety bottom line.
