OVH.com is to be avoided at all cost if you are in any way looking for dedicated server space.


On Monday 7.21.2014 acting on the advice of internet professionals who I respect, I purchased this server space http://www.ovh.com/us/dedicated-servers/enterprise/2014-SP-64.xml. It was purchased with the intention of having it up and running in 4 short hours.

And once the Paypal had gone through, the nightmare started.

The customer "service" dept at this company immediately took my three forms of identification that had been scanned (a NY State drivers license, a valid US Passport, and a letter from the Internal Revenue Service) and declared that my identification pieces were not legitimate.

I was asked to resend the pieces in color at an expense of money and critical time.

Hours later I was told that my materials were not sufficient.

Enraged and on the edge of losing my largest client (who had been assured that this server would be put in place by EOD today (7.21.2014)  I immediately jumped on the phone where I was put in touch with the "customer service agent."

He told me repeatedly that I had "made up" these documents and that my license would not come through.

Screaming about the legitimacy of the documents, this moron then asked me to hold the documents in my hand to scan them again...WHICH I DID.

Nothing again for hours.

Client ready to walk on me.


Back on the phone I am told again that I had made up these documents (and mind you...this is for F&^%$&^$ server space...not a seat on the Space Shuttle) and was then hit with this...

"Our refund policy even through Paypal is 7-10 days. Sorry."

I rushed to Paypal and found out that this is NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH THIS COMPANY.

I was somehow able to deal with Paypal and have them assure me that a refund will come to me in 24 hours.


Every attempt I made to speak to someone other than this guardian of the gate was met with chuckling and dismissive attitudes.

I SERIOUSLY HOPE THAT NO ONE EVER GOES TO OVH.COM. It is a decision you will regret, guaranteed.

The post script to this RipOffReport on OVH.com is that I did LOSE my largest client today,

A huge monthly revenue figure is now gone because of these horrible business people.

Run away from OVH.com...and keep running.
