  Wife took 2011 Jetta in for 60,000 Km service. She requested they change burnt out headlamp bulb. They included it on the description of service and parts and charged her. Even the mechanics check off sheet had lights good. They did not replace the burnt out lamp. The bill came to $ 841.

  It was obvious the bulb was not changed. She pointed it out to them when she picked up the car. They told her they would have to replace the bulb another time.

  In Ontario you can get a ticket for driving with a burnt out headlight. What would happen if she drove her car and got into an accident due to poor illumination? Who would be at fault?

  How many other items was she charged for where they neglected to provide service?

Wife's service at Owasco

I am writing in response to the letter you wrote in regards to your wife's service at Owasco.

I am the service consultant who delt with your wife when she arrived and when she picked up the car.

I believe if you are going to complain about a service you should state all the facts in regards to the full Story. When your wife arrived to pick up her car she pointed out the bulb was burnt out, at this time it was 5:15 and the parts department was closed. I offered to arrange to send someone first thing in the morning to your wife's work and change the bulb again and or pick up the car and then perform the change and deliver it back.

We performed the full service and we did change the bulb. I requested instead of changing the bulb at her work

We pick up the vehicle just incase of the possibility that there may be a wiring issue as I do agree it is not very Often a bulb blows out right after changing it. I gave several options to correct the problem and did apologize for Inconvience. At no point during your wife's visit did I speak with yourself or have any interaction besides responding to your email the following morning. We picked her car up corrected the problem and delivered The car back washed and within the hour. I think it is unfair to post a comment without all the facts.
