Renting from On Target is as emotional as buying your first home. After 2 weeks working there commission based only, I have seen enough I quit. 

A new tenant dropped $2800 cash at this office, signed a contract and still did not get the keys, the garage door opener, and don't know where to park.  The office told her  to call the manager on site who never picks up her call and she was left sobbing in her car only to call On Target who could not help much either. 

Yelpers are telling the truth: On Target  accepts your $30 and NEVER runs your credit. The truth is On Target advertise the property itself without the consent of the owner.  On Target will drive around LA downtown and point at some apartment buildings and claims he has all those listings. We went in to introduce ourselves from On Target Apartment Rental but no one knows who he is or don't border to speak to him. [continued below]....
..... (Imagine who will look at your application. You should just go direct to the leasing office, don't border with On Target)

The owner Ashton literally just put your $30 cash into his wallet and use it to buy lunch, gas and just dropped your application into a cabinet. You call the next day, he will tell you this, " It is the owner choice, I have no control, but a your credit score I am not sure. I can't  give you a copy of your credit check because the owner has it." 

I follow up with the clients whose applications were rejected by On Target and they all find apartments somewhere else in the same neighborhood. I felt bad and since I didn't get paid unless I rented out the "virtual fake" apartments, I quit. Don't want to work free and collect people application fees NOT KNOWINGLY participating in the scam. 

As an agent for 2 weeks, I burnt up 3 tanks of gas, used up lots of minutes and text message on my phone plan, even go to the apartment sites that I cannot get in or no keys. I am glad to get the wake up call when 2 of my clients complain to me about Ashton the business owner of On Target and 1 client cries in front of me. 

A quick notes: There are a lot of reviews on Yelp that got filtered out. If you sign-in again upon request, you can re-open all the filtered reviews. Reasons they are filtered out are because too much profanity words that Yelp can't put on the screen. (People are that angry.)

It is Located on Venture Boulevard & Fulton Ave.  Up above the 2nd level over looking the tiny and packed parking lot. The office is situated next to the stinky restrooms and right above the garbage dumpster if you coming up in the back.  It smells like bleach and rat feed all the time. If it does not feel like an office, and more like a shady guy just put up a nice website with fake listings trying to get your $30 application fee while not paying his own office rent on time and not paying his people on time. RUN! Get the address of the apartment and go direct to the on site manager or the leasing office.

The reason why I wrote this?  


  • I think it is a very unethical business practice that discriminate students of 4 from renting a 2 bedroom apartment. 


  • Unethical to verbally forcing the tenant to agree on a 5 month lease when it advertised as a month to month lease. 


  • Unethical to collect money without actually running the credit app or turning in the application. No accountability. 


  • Not having contracts with the building owner while  presenting itself to the public that it has the listings. 

That is not worst, the worst is when you actually get the apartment,what follows are haunting. Very very rarely you will be a happy camper.

Not sure if this is a REBUTTAL or a key point. My bff's cousin told us a horror story of on target apartment rentals. They took here money and ran. Ok, not ran, but maid it very hard for her to pursue geting her money back. Everyone know about 30 policy etc., but the rep, onlly one i believe, his name was alex, axel, or something like that was very hostile.

Hope this helps, be away on target apartment rentals, they are found online, i think they go by another company too, just not sure.

My name is Daniel Braum of Braum Real Estate.

I would like to state for the record that Ashton of On Target Apartment Rentals is our Tenant (he rents Office Space from us) and cooperates with us on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service used by Real Estate Agents/Brokers) he is not a part of Braum Real Estate. I can say this, Ashton has rented many of our units that are real and owned by us.

Although I find it hard to believe the above story, I can't really comment on it. I have no first hand knowledge about what happened, which leads me to believe this had nothing to do with Braum.

It does appear as an disgruntled ex-employee venting his/her frustrations...

A sincere thanks for reminding folks of the very consent they agree to here on this site.

I think there is little merit on the rebuttals by the supposed "ON Target" Owner. A business owner would know when to keep quiet and not subject themselves to a potential lawsuit for malicious statements against a (real/fictitious) employee. I personally didn't buy any of the defending comments this Owner made. No real business owner would jeopardize their business overall from a post such as this.

As to the now unemployed poster , I think they need to speak with an attorney if these statements are even near true, There are far too many questionable circumstances that deserve further inquiry by an educated legal personnel for possible litigation.

  If what you say is true, why hasn't she posted a retraction here?   Your post is much less convincing than hers would be.

  As far as post removal, it seems that all of you apparently have reading issues.   Not only does the original report not get removed, but neither do your rebuttal posts.    Don't you remember that big highlighted box that you had to specifically click on before your post was accepted?   Here's a refresher :

The person who put this report (Pui Wai Fung) works for other real estate company named Prudential California Realty. We contacted Prudential California Realty and they informed us that Pui Wai Fung state of California agent DRE# 01904665 admitted to them she put this report fraudulently and has contacted ripoffreport.com to remove it.

The person Pui Wai Fung aka Giji has admitted to ripoffreport.com that she had made false accusations and made false report on ripoffreport.com. She had asked ripoffreport.com to remove it and this website has refused to do so.

This is the obsurd rand of a viscious dishonest  person who is not happy with her miserable life and wants to make sure everybody around her are miserable too. Her name is Giji (real estate agent) and found us through a friend of mine. She came to us complaining about how much she hated working for her current broker and desperately needed to make money. We agreed to give her a try to show apartments as an agent.

Soon after we noticed she was stealing food from the office refrigerator then we caught her stealing office supplies. Giji got very friendly with our office manager and told her she was collecting unemployment benefit and making money under table. Our office manager caught Giji trying to hack into this other real estate company website to destroy their business because she taught it was funny.

For the very short period of time she was showing apartments a lot of out of ordinary events happened. I remember one of her clients credit got rejected by a building manager. Giji went crazy accusing the building manager of discrimination. Giji's claim was so far fetched it didn't make sense but since she didn't make money she was quick to destroy other people's reputation out of vengance.

We decided not schedule her anymore hopping she would just go away. She kept calling us and we gave her every hint possible that we didn't want to deal with her. One day she called me wanted to meet with me. In that meeting she was crying a river about how much she enjoyed showing our apartments and she no longer could do it because she found other opportunities. We were happy for her and wished her the best.

A week later I was in a meeting and noticed I was getting a lot of texts from Giji. In those texts she was threatening me with a gun and again a lot of crazy rants. I was busy so I could not get back to her immediately. I contacted her asking about her threats. She apologized to me and said she left a book in my office and wanted to pick it up.

Because I didn't pick up my phone immediately Giji found in her mind that she has the right to destroy my business by putting this garbage on this site. My belief is that Giji is under a lot of pressure in this bad economy and can't make it so she vents off on other people.

At On Target Apartment Rentals we have been taking care of our clients for many years with a good tracking record. The site Ripoff Report prays on honest to goodness companies like ours. I am sure they will try to make us pay for Giji's crazy rants. So my company is the victim of a viscious liar Giji and SCAM website Ripoff Report.
