My husband was looking for a job and had signed up for several emails to alert him to new jobs in the area. He recieved one that claimed it was from ebay, offering a free book on online jobs. My husband, not realizing the scam, signed up for the free booklet offered for $1.95 shipping and handling. This is all the information the website he went to had.

It did not contain any information on any sort of 14 day free trial of any sort, or anything. Even the website itself said it was an ebay company!

My husband got the free pamphlet of info, realized it was a scam and thought nothing more of it. (luckily he saved it instead of throwing it away!)

Until this month, that is.

He saw a 39.95 charge on his credit card, called the credit card for information and they gave him this number: 1-800-930-9932 (which I've noticed seems to be different from most others used on here.

He called it and spoke with a man named Louis (#2958) who tried to tell him how "wonderful" it all was and how great the service would be and was no help at all in cancellation. In fact, we were told we could NOT cancel!

So, we asked to speak with a supervisor... this took quite awhile to actually happen, because he kept refusing and trying to sell us on more junk!

I finally had to get involved and speak with them, Spoke with Customer Service Manager Bonne (#2709) -(who, by the way, I suspect was not a CSR, but another customer service agent) and threatened them with legal action (call the police) and BBB report, and demanded money back and cancellation, was told we couldnt get either of thos things, as we had "agreed" to a contract.

Alerted them to no such agreement and again demanded money back... upon 20th refusal, demanded higher superior or contact information for main company, and was laughed at and told she was as high as it goes, there was no one else.

I hung up (knowing she was lying) and called the credit card company, stopped payment immediately and proceeded to change our credit card number. I am thinking of calling both the police and a lawyer.

They won't be getting one cent of my money!

If anyone knows how I can get my money back, I would sure appreciate it! Thanks very much!
