Puchased multiple times from Tiger direct/Onebate on or about 4/25/06.
All equipment was good, still waiting for rebates...ALL OF THEM.
Typical runaround. Provide all required documentation, submitted on time, made copies, followed tracking numbers.
Still no rebates.
Three checks supposedly sent May 23, never recieved.
On phone with Onrebate 7/9/06;"sent to accounting...should see them 7-10 business days" Confirmed that the 4 other rebates were approved for payment 7/3/06. status changed emails confirmed have been recieved and approved.
Called again today (8/2/06) was told the 3 still in accounting.
The 4 approved for payment signals the "beginning of the 8-10 weeks waiting period for fullfilment".
"Pedro", who not only refused to give me his last name, clock or employee ID number, but also tried to convince me that his supervisor, whom he eventually identified as Mickey Thomas, wasn't at her desk, has no direct phone number ( "use the 1-888 #"), nor any voice mail. He placed me on hold and 3 minutes later he stated that he would transfer me to her voice mail.
I left a detailed message and my personal phone number, requesting a return phone call immediately to confirm all information supplied by me was accurate. Still waiting on that one.
As a note, I did purchase items without rebates from Tiger- no problem with that.
I had purchased a 19" monitor with a $70.00 rebate. I had elected to recieve the rapid rebate for a "expedited fee" of $5.50
I recieved that rebate the same week.
I do believe that OnRebate is a total scam, where you pay a "fee" for them not to loose or deny any rebate forms properly submitted in good faith.
I will be happy to cooperate in any action against OnRebate/Tiger Direct.
