Onrebate 22 month delay on paying approved rebate Miami Florida

I purchased a cell phone from TigerDirect in Toronto on April 30, 2006. I sent the appropriate forms and on May 31 of 2006 found on the web that the rebate (25.00) was approved. Since then, they have emailed me 3 times (in response to my emails) that the rebate would be provided soon. In November 2007, they emailed me they could no longer provide rebates through Paypal so would mail me a check. I must say, I doubted this would occur and would have been surprised if it been paid had given past performance. I have not received the check and the onrebate website shows a red X beside payment sent - all other items are checked as completed.

I have taken some small pleasure in telling anyone who mentions TigerDirect of the current status of my rebate and what has occurred.

I have bought nothing since and will buy nothing from them in the future. I cant make a general comment about the company as I only have my experience to speak from but my experience has been poor and I would suggest that anyone who wants to purchase anything from TigerDirect consider my experience and read the other comments on this site.

I believe that purchases should be made from companies that keep their word. Many organizations in a similar business to this are reliable (Best Buy, Circuit City and many others) and do what they say they will do. We should support them. We should support quality and reliability.
