I purchased a computer from Tiger Direct in June 2006. I built it myself and should have received 14 rebates for 440.00. It took me calling 4 times and 18 weeks for onrebate to send my checks. They said they had system problems. Finally, my checks arrived, all 440.00 worth of rebatesno more, no less. Then I receive this email:
Dear Blake, Due to a temporary system error, we recently sent you multiple rebate checks for the same approved rebate application. The duplicate check has been voided in our system and this message is being sent to let you know the check number that is now invalid and should not be deposited.
Rebate Confirmation Code: QP4UDXXXXXXXX
Invalid Check Number: 9XXXXX
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I received the checks 3 weeks agono duplicatesthey were deposited into my bank and now I receive this emailtwo weeks after I deposited the checks. I called to find out what was going on, why they waited 3 weeks to send me this and they said it was a system error. They told me I had to send them a personal check or face fines and other financial consequences. I asked the represent to speak to his supervisor and he put Niki Thomas on the phone. She was clueless! At first she told me to forget about the email because those were sent in error. I asked her what about the fact that the checks have been voided out in their system, and she told me that we would have to investigate. We started going through the confirmation codes and she said the first one was an error and I shouldn't have received the email, the second one they show as a duplicate, etc. etc. Finally, I have about 7 checks that onrebate is saying I owe them. Then Niki put me on hold for 20 min. She got back on the phone and we discussed this issue for another 10 min. then she put me on hold for another 20 min. I have been on hold for over 2 hours and now I am hanging up. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau citing onrebate.com and tiger direct.
This company sucks and their management stinks. I can't believe a company would be run like this.
