Open Box Savings Deceptive. Your package arrives with an Amazon "Gift" receipt. Don't try to return it. You cannot contact them. Amazon and PayPal should be ashamed to do business with a company like this.  Internet

OpenBoxSavings.com claims to offer fast, free returns; just try and get a reply to an email...  Don't bother trying to find an address or phone number.  There is none.  My stupidity for buying with them.  More stupid that PayPal and Amazon would work with them.

The scoop: they look for items in the Amazon Warehouse, open box returns.  They remarket them at 25% profit margin.  You buy it, they place an online "GIFT" order from a purchaser named "Dave".  The product ships directly to you from Amazon with a gift receipt inside.

So how do you return something?  Don't try to contact them; they will not reply until you do a chargeback on your card.  Then they will deny it and dispute your request.

After spending days of frustration and hours on the phone with Amazon and the credit card company, all Amazon will do is offer a gift card for the amount swindled from you by Dave.

After requesting an RMA from Amazon directly (a shared RMA, since the seller/buyer Dave is still part of the transaction) they come back and offer another RMA number, direct to Amazon with Amazon's prepaid label.

Item gets shipped back to Amazon crediting THEIR account and you never hear from Dave, Sierra or anyone at OpenBoxSavings again.  They item is now returned to Amazon and they get the credit and your cash.

PayPal closes the case because they don't want to deal with it once the seller (OpenBoxSavings/Dave/Sierra) refuses your request for refund and return RMA.  and you are screwed out of your money.

Buyer beware, the site not having any contact information should be a warning, too late for me.

Go to Amazon warehouse directly if you want a product cheap, a description of its condition, free shipping and hassle free returns if needed.  these guys are just scraping money off your dinner plate.
