Had to undergo emergency surgery and in order to re-schedule 4 airline tickets and hotel vacation to puerto rico we are being charged extra $570!

Both companies Orbitz Travel & American Airlines say they will not lower fees even with doctor's letter.

Very unfeeling and unfair business practices. I want to appeal to anyone who can help me change these excessive charges.

Get what you pay for

Once again, you got what you paid for. You wanted CHEAP AIRLINE Tickets & such. So that is what you got. You also entered into a CONTRACT for them when you purchased them. And one of the conditions of that contract was you would PAY for any changes no matter what. You cant just change a contract because you dont like it. If you dont want to possibly pay change fees & such, but FULL FARE tickets that are UNRESTRICTED. Until then, PAY UP & SHUT UP !!!!!

Basically,

I own my own travel tour Company. Why is it the fault of the travel company named, or the airline, that you "had to change your ticket due to emergency surgery?"

It is your emergency, not theirs, they owe you nothing.
