Do not ever book through Orbitz.  They ripped off my family and represented a hotel that was extremely run down and frankly should not be in business.

My family and I booked a hotel through Orbitz and thought that we received great rates.  When checking out of the hotel we received a receipt that did not match what we paid.  Orbitz charged us $30.00 more a night than the actual rates.

When calling customer service we reached somebody in India that obviously had no clue how to perform customer service.  When we explained our problem they refused a refund for the amount that we overpaid, which was almost $200.00.  She continually read from a script that made absolutely no sense.  When I asked for a supervisor I was told that there was none available and there would not be any available until the next day and I would receive a call within twenty four hours.  Somehow, I got a call within the hour, but it was the same person I already spoke with.  Again refusing a refund, I then asked to speak to her supervisor and was told she was the last resort.  Like I am stupid or something, she is not the president of the company! 

Not only were we ripped off, but they generated business for a hotel that was rundown, dirty, full of bed bugs and etc.  The pictures on-line did not look anything like where we stayed.  They did offer us a voucher for $50.00 dollars to go towards our next booking of a hotel.  However, you have to use it through Orbitz!  Duh, I will never use Orbitz again!

The bottom line is that we have four children and don't take vacations very often.  Money is tight and what was supposed to a wonderful vacation turned out to be a nightmare.  The condition of the hotel was horrid, we were ate up by bed-bugs, and then ripped off!
