Orbitz.com Travel Service ripoff Chicago Illinois

We called Orbitz and told them we were not familiar with Calif. and needed to find a hotel in the Westwood area, near LA. Their representative booked a hotel for us in San Pedro. Mars, actually, from the location we asked for.

When we found that San Pedro is VERY far away from the area we needed, we got on the phone ourselves and found a hotel right in the Westwood area for about $50 less. When we called Orbitz to cancel, we were told that they would still take the money out of our bank account, and we would have to wait 3 to 5 business days for them to put it back. On top of that they charged us a $25 fee JUST FOR USING THEIR SERVICES.

Orbitz is a ripoff! They DO NOT save you money on travel reservations, in fact they charge MORE! And, I've never heard of a reputable organization charging a fee for cancellations made in an appropriate period of time. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS.
