Our story starts with us receiving a $300 credit card from Orchard bank. We had no problems for the first few months until we paid the entire balance and then it all began. We spoke with a poor english speaking gentleman and asked our balance and if they could take one of the fees off, well he went ahead after us telling him repeatedly not to take a payment out, he took the entire balance out of our checking account(this was on a Friday).

On the following Monday when I was paying bills I paid them $300 online not knowing the customer service guy had sent a payment as well. Within the next day I noticed the first payment as well as the second payment I had made were going through on our checking account. Rember we only had a $300 limit and we were sending payments of $750 through our checking account. Because I did not want to pay these jokers $750 I had my $300 payment stopped by my bank.

Thinking because I had paid them the entire balance plus stopped the extra payment I had made I figured we were done but was I wrong. We contacted Orchard Bank the following week to make sure everything was ok and found out they had sent out a refund check for the $300 extra that I had stopped payment on after we had told them not to send out the refund check and stop payment on it. We never received the check and next we received a statement saying we had a balance of $345 (because of the refund check, a stop payment fee, and a over limit fee!).

We contacted Orchard bank again and talked to a supervisor who said she would try to stop payment on the refund check and take off the overlimit fee. She said she would call us if she was able to stop the check. She never did and we received the check about a week later.

Due to not hearing from the supervisor regarding the check we took it too the bank and on the same day I paid the $345 balance on our card and made sure there would be no more charges and that the account was closed.

Well I wish my story was over but tonight I found a returned check on my online banking for $345 from Orchard Bank. Once the check was cashed they stopped payment on it and now there is a positive balance on my account of $345 which now will take 30-45 days to receive back. I wish it wasn't a big deal for me to lose $345 but it's a huge deal and is going to make my checking account negative and hard to pay bills this month. I hate this company and anyone researching or wanting a credit card - DO NOT USE ORCHARD BANK!!
