PA Hypnosis Center - Dan Vitchoff Misrepresented service - lied about what was discuseed during consultation - refused to refund monies for services not rendered which I could not tolerate due to medical condition Pittsburgh ,Warrendale, Pennsylvania

Dan Vitchoff is a clever & enterprising businessman. He claims to offer hypnotherapy but leads you to a darkened room & puts headphones & blinking glasses on you, then subjects you to repeated playings of a generic recording for every session after he leaves the room. It is so irritating & absurd it becomes intolerable.

In my case, because I suffer from severe tinnitus (ringing of the ears), wearing headphones for extended periods is very agitating. His staff was told of this condition when I called for a consultation & ironically claimed to offer a remedy for it instead of exacerbating it. They also claimed to be able to address an anxiety related breathing disorder & alleviation of chronic pain.

When I politely declined to continue the treatments after 4 sessions, Mr. Vitchoff refused to refund my money for the remaining 4 prepaid sessions claiming he had already "prepared a personalized program" for me. This, of course, was nonsense since I began my 1st session the day following our initial consultation.

He was able to produce a signed credit card receipt which stated a "no refund" policy in small type, nearly impossible to read in his dimly lit office, after he had charged my credit card. Contrary to his claims, he never discussed this with me beforehand and, in fact, boldly displays a satisfaction guarantee commitment on his website.

The chairman of the ethics committee of the National Guild of Hypnotists who licensed Mr Vitchoff also disapproves of his use of repetitive recordings & refusal to offer refunds, and has advised that there may be a possibility of action against him if more complaints are received.
