MR &(^%$^ I am faxing over an appraisal that was entered a year ago on our house.
The appraisal company listed our house at $208,000 but told us that if the kitchen and flooring had been complete that it would have listed at 235,000 easily. We were only looking for an equity loan but found out our loan would not be granted since there was construction being done in our house.
As far as PLA and Associates are concerned, and the Manager Penny S. Pierzina, I believe this representation of an appraisal company is the worst I have ever had the dissatisfaction of dealing with as well as her professionalism in
representing EverBank, not to mention the VA. We spent our hard earned money to get a good representation of our homes worth and what we received was the opposite. I called Penny S. Pierzina six times from the moment she left the
house, to ask if she got the new roof and solar panels that I had forgot to mention as well as give her my email to email the appraisal. I left a message six times and every time even with her coworkers and I received no return call, no email
Over the next two weeks I had called and left messages and later I received our appraisal in the mail not sent by PLA or Penny but from our bank lender EverBank, listing our property at $169,000. I couldnt believe what I was seeing so I
called Penny again and again to add another six times and I had to leave a voice message once again. The next day I thought I would call you and find out what I could do and decided to give Penny one last chance. To my amazement someone
answered the phone. I asked for the Manager then we started to argue over who was on the phone and who was the manager. Unbelievable!!!
Then I found out Penny was the manager and the very person who had come out to appraise our
home. I asked Penny how she came up with this figure on our house and still being as positive and polite as possible giving the circumstances that I had gone through, and Penny said she got compatibles from around the area. I
informed her that those compatibles were wooden homes and the more North she went the least the houses were sold for. I also mentioned that when she was here I had informed her that there were not that many homes in our area that were
as big as ours or for sale so she would have to go South and what did she do but go North. Penny informed me that since I know my area that I can give her three compatibles and she would reevaluate our home.
When Penny was here she mentioned that she would have to take pictures of all the rooms. I told her that we were in the process of moving our kids rooms and office to other rooms. Penny assured me that everything would be fine. So I told her that when our house came back with the appraisal our house looked horrible with all the pictures and with the moving around. Penny told me well pictures dont lie. I couldnt believe what I was hearing and then she informed me that if I had a problem with the appraisal that there was a process I would have to go through. I then told Penny that had she done her
job correctly I wouldnt have to pay her and then do it myself. After which she said this conversation was over and hung up.
This is the worst company and the worst manager I have had to pay for to do anything for me
and then to be treated with such disregard and utter disrespect and is incredible.
Not to mention how many times I had called her. This is just total and absolute disrespect by
her and her company and the representation of EveryBank.
Now Penny is stating that our house is worth $169,000 with 2,533 square feet and a two car garage. It doesnt take a genius to figure out she did not do her job, with numerous un-responded emails and no return phone calls I believe we were taken
for our money and treated with the worst professionalism to be represented by EverBank, that I have ever dealt with. Our next door neighbors just moved in to their house and it sold for I $159,000 It has 985 Square feet with a one car
I would appreciate it if you removed her and her company from your list of appraisers as well as from representing the VA.
I am further posting her company to the BBB and ripoffs.com to let others know what we had to deal with and her incompetence as an appraiser.
