I would of never thought I would be a victim of a rip off scam. We just moved to Las Vegas, (henderson actually) and came from country living, so I guess I fell for it. Anyway, a girl came to the door, saying she was selling magazine subscriptions and earning points for her trip. I decided to buy my 5 year old girl a nick Jr subscription, and wrote her a check. After she left I decided I didn't want it, it was $50 kinda expensive so I thought I would just cancel it. I immedialey did what the reciept said to do and filled it all out about canceling, which was said to cancel through mail only. Also says only within 3 business days this may be canceled. Well, I send it in the same day so I know my 3 days were good. Never heard back, and I have been calling and noone returns my calls, I have faxed them, have done everything I can think of. Now when I call the number has been disconnected. On top of it, of course I never have recieved a magazine. It says to allow 90-120 days for delivery, well I bought the subscription on 11-07-05 and now it is 2-24-06 so maybe there is a little hope, but I highly doubt it.. I have been scamed and it has changed the way I look at door to door, but we are moving back to our farm and probably won't have door to door like this, so will have to have the "bad" attitude to actually good salemans over the phone.
