PNC BANK PNC BANK CLOSES A HOME EQUITY LINE OF CREDIT, DESPITE DOCUMENTS THAT PROVE OTHERWISE , THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS TO REMAIN OPEN. PITTSBURGH Pennsylvania

Back i n 2007 we had two Pnc accounts. One was a home equity loan and the other was a home equity line of credit. both were for $ 80,000 dollars. In September of 2007 both accounts were paid in full. The home equity loan was then closed . However, Pnc bank sent me a letter from the account managent department asking me what I WANTED TO DO with our home equity line of credit. I wanted to keep this account open, and thus, a special document was signed, faxed and delivered along with a voided check so that future payments could be withdrawn from my checking account .In Febuary of 2008 ,I called pnc bank to check if this account was still open. Pnc bank said yes.Then ON NOVEMBER 6, 2008, WE WERE IN DIRE NEED OF THESE FUNDS for needed home improvements projects only to find that the bank closed this account and refuses to reopen it. This is what we get for being a good customers, and providing PNC BANK WITH YEARS OF SERVICE AND BUSINESS.
