PNC Mortgage does not process loan modification documents for homeowners as required by law. They have not mailed documentation they are required to send for the loan modification process. PNC has falsely said I would qualify for a loan modification on three seperate occasions.

The first time I requesed a hardship request, hardship reason, loss of income, they said that I would only qualify for a workout packet (hardship loan modification) if I was four months behind on my mortgage, I kept seeing all the federal commercials hearing about the loan modification loans to help prevent forclosure from TV commercials. I called again they said;" I would have qualified if I was four months behind and the program just expired."  I knew that was untrue. I kept hearing people recieving loan modifications from other banks.

I called back at a later time and requested the loan modification information after waiting on hold for one hour and fourtyfive minutes, they lady explained the options that I would qualify for, based on my hardship which was loss of income, I had to request the documents be sent to me and they sent me barely readable, lousey copies of thier loan modification workout packet, no disclosures, no fax numbers or point of contact, I filled in all the information and mailed the documents they asked for.

PNC said, "you don't have enough money to pay your creditors," I replied I know I need the loan modification so you will accept a partial payment from me, I just need a few months to catch up." I had sent in partial payments and they took out fees that had not been accured and "other" fees and mailed the remainder back. I called back at another time checking on the status and the woman said yes we recieved it and it takes 6-12 weeks, we will let you klnow, I asked why so long and if she could tell me anything and she said you should qualify under one of the programs and we will let you know when to start sending partial payments and when we can start accepting them. Then about a month later I recieved a letter, five days after it was written, requesting more documentaion so I called PNC and they told me the loan modification requested had been closed out on that date of the letter!!!! and to reapply for the process all over again. No reason was given for the denial of the hardship request.

Second time I requested a loan modification the woman said, "I would save $80 a month if I did the modification." so I completed the workout packet as they call it and sent in all required documentation. I had just started a second job and called her to let her know I needed the fax number to send the documentaion in, I recieved NO response. I left her several messages letting her know I had the job offer letter and paystub and I wanted to get it to her quickly, yet again I did not recieve a response. I called the general number to speak to someone else and got the run around and still no fax number, no answers untill a month later, she called me to let me know the modification was denied, I said you didnt accept my income documentation, she stated," the investers denied your request." I asked why and NO reason was given.

Yet again I am in the process of requesting another loan modification, I have sent in all requested documents, I am keeping detailed notes, calling every other day, spoke with HUD counselor who stated, "there is no reason why you should be denied!" I've filed a complaint to the Attorney Generals Office, I have recieved a response and they are investigating PNC Mortage, and there is a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT underway, if you or anyone you know is HAVING, or have HAD the same or related issues with PNC Mortgage, PNC Bank or National City Mortgage, please call me 509-270-6333 or 310-207-6301 Strange and Carpenter 310-207-6301, file a report with your ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE even if you don't think it will go anywhere they are the ones who speak for us against these banks doing illegal, unethical practices. We have to speak for all the people just like us, who have given up and lost thier homes or is in the process of living this nightmare with PNC.
