Complaint Review: PNC, Nicholas B
PNC, Nicholas BInternet United States of America
PNC, Nicholas B Denied any help, lied about why my April 2012 modification was denied. Internet
We applied for a "hardship package in March 2012, I am unemployed in the winter, and in May, we were denied from what Nicholas B said was "numbers". "Our numbers were close." That was the only info he could offer, as if he were a CIA agent and could not give out any other information...so he encouraged us to apply for a FHA modification, do ANOTHER hardship package to see if we would qualify for anything else.
3 Months later, after several attempts of faxing papers they kept saying they didn't have, we were denied the FHA modification. I had called in numerous times to make some sort of a payment here and there over the course of these 6 months, and was told not to. That it would affect us being able to get a modification, and that it would only be applied to late fee's...etc.
When I found out we were denied (only by calling them, and getting a foreclosure notice in the mail), I spoke with Nicholas B for about 45 mins. After drilling him, and his replies sounding more like a robot than someone trying to help explain things to me, I finally told him I HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW WHY THE FIRST ONE WAS DENIED, all you told me was "NUMBERS". He said it was because we had a modification done in April 2011, and that we would not qualify for any other modification at this time.
There was no offer of any other help in any way, nothing else we would qualify for.
If we would have known this in May 2012, it would have been easier to try and find a way to pay back 2 months of a mortgage than 6 months, a foreclosure and (now to save our house) a $1200.00+more bankruptcy filing, which has cause me substantial stress in my life. The catch? Filing bankruptcy, I now can start paying PNC to keep my house, but at the same mortgage price/rate and being told by my lawyer that they should/would be more willing to help with a modification now. Outrageous! Now my credit is ruined, and we are still stuck with a payment we can't afford. We don't want to lose the house that my children and we call home. This is so sad, not just for me, but for all of us going through the same problems. I just wish there was some way to sue a company for misleading and emotional stress. Is this fraudulent practice??
